Liam (Yan) Li is a detail-oriented architectural designer living in New York City. He works as a job captain at HLW, responsible for executing the technical aspects of projects. Most recently, he worked on several interior workplace projects through SD to CA. Liam got his Master of Architecture degree (M.Arch) from University of Michigan and Bachelor degree of Architecture (B.Arch) from Harbin Institute of Technology. 

Prior coming to New York, Liam worked at Cunningham Group in Los Angeles and Urbanus in China. His previous architectural experience include hotel, residential renovation and theme park. He believes that innovative design and new technologies emerged in architecture field would reshape the future of living environment. Along with his interests in the innovative design solutions with technology integration, he got first prize of 2015 D3 Sustainable System Competition and second prize of 2017 CIID thesis Competition. 

Active in the academic world, Liam also worked as a research assistant at DESIGN EARTH and OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Germany. His work with DESIGN EARTH, Julia: The Submerged Volcano, was exhibited at Le Lieu Unique in 2019.
